SYNERGY
Even with some research limitations, such as language barrier, winter, unwillingness to be interviewed or hard access to some stakeholders, the groups did an intense work to come up with creative solutions and proposals in their final presentations. They also presented a vision of what they expect Tarwewijk will become. The whole atelier lasted 5 weeks and after this period they displayed their results in an exhibition and presented their work to the inhabitants, the municipality and other stakeholders.
The work of the students was covered by various newspapers and local broadcasting stations through a live interview on the radio and item in a news show. Currently the Municipality of Rotterdam, together with Tarwewijk community, are trying to implement some of the solutions proposed by the UMDSU3 students.
